❖ On the Discourse Concerning the Vision of the Creator and Its Absence ❖

Disagreement occurred among those who believe in the existence of Allah from the People of the Qiblah and others regarding His vision. Among them are those who maintained it, but in the Hereafter; among them are those who negated its occurrence in the worldly life and the Hereafter; and among them are those who believed in the occurrence of the vision in both abodes.

As for those who maintain the vision in the Hereafter, some of the People of the Sunnah interpreted the saying of the Exalted in Surah Al-Qiyamah:[“Faces, that Day, will be radiant, looking toward their Lord,”] 1 , to mean that Allah—Majestic and Exalted is He—manifests Himself to His believing servants on the Day of Resurrection with a special quality or attribute by which He enables them to look toward Him, the Exalted.
