And I would not have written around that, considering that the scholars of theology—meaning those who believe in the existence of a wise, rational God—have saturated it with demonstration and proof, and that the existence of the Maker for this universe is among the most self-evident of axioms. Whoever seeks its proof is like one who seeks proof for seeing the sun at noon while the sky is clear,

containing no clouds. However, my writing in this regard was out of consideration for sequence and organization on one hand, and on the other, as a participation with those who wrote on proof, seeking reward and further clarification—since the human caravan, as can be discerned through its religious course, yearns toward dissolution, atheism, and the denial of what lies beyond nature.

I say, and my success is only through Allah: Indeed, the workmanship points to its maker, it certainly does. Were it not for him—meaning the maker—the manufactured thing would not have been upon the form it was found to be. Take as an example the table and the chair: for their existence points to the existence of the carpenter, without whom neither of them would be upon the form and image they are upon. And likewise with respect to these beings: for their existence indicates the existence of a Creator.

When you see a watch and notice its regular ticks, its interlocking parts, and its precise composition, you judge, without a doubt, by the experience of its maker, the precision of his view, and the vastness of his brain. So how about this universe, which is full of wonders and marvels?
