"In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful: ['Certainly will the believers have succeeded. They who are during their prayer humbly submissive'] 1 " until the end of the verses. So the Messenger of Allah - Exalted is His Might - said: "They have succeeded through you,"
and he recited the rest of the verses until His, the Almighty's, saying:
["'Those are the inheritors, who will inherit al-Firdaus (Paradise). They will abide therein eternally'] 2 ." So the Messenger of Allah - Exalted is His Might - said: "You, by Allah, are their Prince (Amir); you supply them (tamiruhum) from your sciences, so they are supplied (fayamtarun), and you, by Allah, are their guide, and through you they are guided."
And I ask those sayers and critics—who claim that what the Commander of the Faithful spoke of regarding the unseen matters is a knowledge he obtained from the Messenger of Allah - Exalted is His Might -: How can they reconcile between this saying and belief of theirs, and between what has come in this report which explicitly states that the Commander of the Faithful, at the moment of his birth, recited the Adhan and the Iqamah, and read the Scrolls of Adam, Noah, and Abraham, the Torah, the Gospel, and part of the Noble Quran?
Did Ali learn this from Muhammad while he was in the cradle, and Muhammad had not yet received the Revelation?!
