[315] It has been reported in the Book of the Drop (Kitab al-Qatrah) and in several other exoteric books, it has been reported what this is its text: "That the Commander of the Faithful - Exalted is His Might - when he was born in the Sacred House [the Kaaba], he fell prostrate, and raised his noble head, then he pronounced the Adhan and the Iqamah—meaning he recited the Adhan and the Iqamah—and testified to Allah with Oneness,
and to Muhammad with the Message, and to himself with the Caliphate and the Wilayah. Then he gestured to the Messenger - Exalted is His Might - and said: 'Read, O Messenger of Allah?'"
So he said: "Yes." Then he began with the Scrolls of Adam and read them, then he recited the Scrolls of Noah, the Scrolls of Abraham, the Torah, and the Gospel. Then he recited: ["Certainly will the believers have succeeded"] 1 . So the Prophet - Exalted is His Might - said: "Yes, they have succeeded, for you are their Imam." Then he addressed him with what he addressed the prophets and the successors (al-awsiya'), then he fell silent.
