O brother: Indeed, the investigating, fair reader sees in every one of the chapters of this treatise—no, rather in most of the verses, reports, and hadiths occurring in it—he sees clear evidences and shining proofs indicating the divinity (uluhiyyah) of our Master the Commander of the Faithful - Exalted is His Might -, and that the sound intellect judges that Allah, the Possessor of the absolute, perfect power, it does not incapacitate Him that He manifests among this rational, sensitive human creation in a form like his form from the standpoint of the appearance (al-manzar), not the reality (al-haqiqah).

In the meaning that the nature of the looker is incapable of seeing the Lofty Essence (al-dhat al-aliyyah) upon what it is of an abstracted divinity (lahut mujarrad), and the looker only sees it like his [own] appearance by the requirement of His, the Almighty's, conquering power, since He, Glorified be He, turns the sight and the heart of the seer so he witnesses the divine light [as] a human form like himself, while indeed it is, in reality, an essential light (nur jawhari), not a form.
