"And three nations have united that Moses walked upon the sea, and Allah spoke to him, and shaded the Children of Israel with clouds, and sent down upon them the manna and the quails. And a faction says Allah created a letter (harfan) and addressed him from it. And this is correct, but upon contrary to what they opine.

And in the Torah it is written 'And Allah spoke to Moses' (with the [letter] ي), its interpretation: from mouth to mouth. And that 'Joshua' (Yusha') returned the sun, and it is not within the capacity of humans that they bring its like. So we knew that that form is upon other than what it is of the composition of humanity (tarkib al-bashariyyah), and that the ancient (al-qadim) manifests by it to affirm His existence and [so that] His manifestation becomes valid."
