So there is no escape, then, from that He manifests in an appearance from the genus of His creation so that He may speak to them, and they may understand from Him His command and His prohibition. And if the Muslims are uniting upon that Allah addressed Moses from the tree, and it is an owner of composed parts, there is no motion in it and no speech, so what is His state [that] He does not address them from the genus of humans, which is the most noble of the genera of the animal, and more noble than the plant and the inanimate? So if it is valid that He addressed him from the tree, so what is the state of the living, the speaking?

And Allah has said in the decisive of His book: ['Faces on that day [will be] radiant, to their Lord looking'] ¹ ."

"And the people of the law (ahl al-shar') from the theologians (al-mutakallimin) and other than them, except the Mu'tazilah and the Imamiyyah, have united that 'the radiant' (al-nadirah) is from the radiance (al-nadarah), and it is the water of the face, and 'the looking' (al-nazirah) with the [letter] Za is from the looking (al-nazar), and that it is possible that He is seen by the looking of the eye.
