"And that is His, the Almighty's, saying: ' [Allah takes the souls at the time of their death, and those that do not die [He takes] during their sleep. Then He keeps those for which He has decreed death and releases the others for a specified term.
Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought'] 1 . So His keeping of the thing is His stopping it in its state within its mine (ma'danihi), and His releasing [it] is by the return of every right to its right, due to His, the Almighty's, saying:[ 'So He will pay them in full their rewards', and His saying: 'Then every soul will be paid in full what it earned, and they will not be wronged'] 2 , and His saying: 'So He paid him in full his account'... etc."
