"We are the indication for whoever comprehends the expression, and we are the goal for whoever seeks the end.

Our manifestation is unlimited and our limit is uncounted. By us the follower (al-tali) catches up, and to us the exaggerator (al-ghali) returns. So we are the Great News (al-Naba' al-Azim), and from us was the ancient cause."

[298] And from it: So at that [time] was from the hadith of Abdullah bin Saba which you have heard, and his declaring the meaningness (ma'nawiyyah) of our Master, until the people gathered to him and said to him: "O Commander of the Faithful, indeed this Abdullah bin Saba, a group of the people has gathered to him, and he has brought a detestable thing of speech, and he has said concerning you what we say concerning Allah - Mighty and Majestic is He - and if you pardon him and do not forbid him from that, the people will apostatize from the religion."

So he commanded his bringing, and he was brought, he and his companions, and he said to him: "O Abdullah, indeed the people have denied upon you what you have said concerning me. So return to what the people want from you."

So Abdullah bin Saba said: "We have not said except a truth, and I will not return from the saying of truth."
