And you have heard His saying - majestic is His name - : ["Return to your father and say, 'O our father, indeed your son has stolen, and we did not testify except to what we knew, and we were not guardians of the unseen'"] ¹ . So the acknowledger would have acknowledged what he does not know, and the denier would have denied what he does not know. And you have heard the saying of Allah - majestic is His praise - : ["So when there came to them what they recognized, they disbelieved in it; so the curse of Allah is upon the disbelievers"] ² . And He said - exalted and majestic is He - : ["So that he who perished would perish upon evidence, and he who lived would live upon evidence"] ³ . And the evidence (al-bayyinah) is the knowledge of Him. And Allah - exalted and majestic is He - said: "[And if you asked them, 'Who created the heavens and earth?' they would surely say, 'Allah.' Say, 'Praise be to Allah.' But most of them do not know"] ⁴ . He intends by that [that] they do not know who the Creator is.
