So when He manifested to the mountain, by His, the Almighty's, saying: 'So when his Lord manifested to the mountain', and the mountain is the body of Moses, and the form in which He manifested in humanity, He made it leveled (dakkan), since his body did not stand firm for the light of divinity (al-lahut) when He manifested to it, so the body became leveled and did not stand firm to be seen. So Moses stood by the luminousness (al-nuraniyyah) exclusive of the corporeality (al-jisminiyyah), a light stripped from his temple (haykal). So how can the servants and the Children of Israel bear that He manifests to them in the luminousness while they have no capacity to look at Him?"

"And the creation was in the shadows (al-azillah) as atoms (dharran) like the fineness of imagination, without bodies and without forms, phantoms (ashbahan) not exemplified, hearing, and comprehending, and speaking, and witnessing. And were it not for that, Allah would not have addressed one who does not comprehend, and does not hear, and does not see, and does not speak. And if they had not been with these attributes, it would not have been said to them: 'Am I not your Lord?' nor would they have said: 'Yes, we have testified.'
