And by al-Sahib bin Abbad is his saying:

O people, who is like Ali, and indeed

The sun was returned for him from setting.

The brother of the Messenger of the religion, rather his son-in-law,

And the son-in-law is not equated with the companion.

Repentance is not accepted from a repenter,

Except by the love of the son of Abi Talib.

And by al-Himyari:

Ali, for him the sun was returned once,

In Taybah [Medina], the day of the revelation, after setting.

And it was returned for him another time in Babylon, after it

Had descended and its eye was upon setting.

And Ali bin Hammad said:

Who is he for whom the sun, after its setting,

Was returned in Babylon? Inform us, O Harith!
