And the Chosen Prophet said to us:

On the night of the Ascension (al-Mi'raj), when he ascended it,

Allah placed His hand upon my back,

So the heart felt that it had cooled it.

And Ali is the one placing his feet,

In the place where Allah placed His hand."

And the Commander of the Faithful placed his feet upon the shoulder of the Messenger - majestic is his praise - when he broke the idols of the polytheists, and it is the place upon which Allah placed His hand during the Ascension. And the owner of the foot is none other than the owner of the hand, and He is exalted above organs and limbs.

And it has been reported in the book "Al-Qatrah" from one of the poets that he said in this regard:

The Guide ascended to the pinnacle of heights,

And upon the shoulder of the Guide, he [Ali] ascended.

O equitable one, judge equitably between us:

Which of their two ascensions is higher in height?
