[276] And from "Anis al-Samra'" and the book "Al-Mujalla" by Sheikh Muhammad bin al-Hasan bin Ali bin Abi Jumhur al-Ahsa'i, both of them from Jabir bin Abdullah al-Ansari, he said: I witnessed [the Battle of] Basra with the Commander of the Faithful,
and the people had gathered with the woman [Aisha] seventy thousand. So I did not see any of them defeated except that he was saying "Ali defeated me," and no wounded except he says "Ali wounded me," and no one giving up his ghost [dying] except he says "Ali killed me." And I was not in the right flank except I heard the voice of Ali, and not in the left flank except I heard the voice of Ali, and not in the center (al-qalb) except I heard the voice of Ali.
