And it came in one of the issues of the magazine "Islam in its Knowledge and Arts" (Al-Islam fi Ma'arifihi wa Fununihi) by Sheikh Habib Al Ibrahim al-Amili: That one of the men of letters mentioned to one of the sons of the Sheikh that he read in one of the foreign newspapers about one of the scientists who contributed to the invention of the atomic bomb. He mentioned in it that they were guided to its invention from the speech of Ali bin Abi Talib. And that man of letters requested from the son of the Sheikh to ask his father whether he had any trace from the Commander of the Faithful - majestic is his praise - that indicates the atomic bomb.
So the Sheikh mentioned to his son, when he asked him about that, that he did not come across a speech by Ali bin Abi Talib indicating it, except for two lines of poetry attributed to the Master, and they are:
Take the fugitive (al-farrar) and the released (al-talq),
And a thing that resembles lightning.
If you crush it thoroughly,
You will possess the West and the East.
And Sheikh Habib mentioned that "the fugitive" (al-farrar) is mercury (al-zi'baq), and "the released" (al-talq) is uranium, and it is a part among the parts of the atomic bomb. As for "what resembles lightning," he did not arrive at its meaning, and that he will search for it in the books of language and others. And this, and what preceded it of the indication to electricity, is evidence among the evidences proving that he is the knower of the unseen of the earth and the heaven.
