Al-Mufaddal said: I said: "O my Master, increase me in explanation, for I have known from your grace and your blessings what I fall short of describing." He said: "O Mufaddal, ask about what you wish." I said: "O my Master, that Form which was seen on the pulpits, calling from its essence to its essence with the Meaning, and explicitly declaring divinity. You said to me that it is not the totality of the Creator and the Creator is not other than it, so how is the reality of this saying known?"
