[272] And from it: And it was narrated that a man from the Jews asked him when he placed his foot in the stirrup: "Which number has the nine fractions: it has a half, a third, a quarter, a fifth, a sixth, a seventh, an eighth, a ninth, and a tenth, all of them whole [numbers]?" Ali said intuitively and immediately: "Multiply the days of your week by the days of your year, so whatever results is your target." So the Jew submitted [embraced Islam], and it is called "the stirrup problem" (al-mas'alah al-rikabiyyah), and it is the requested number.

[273] And the author of the book "Muhtadar" narrated from Zayn al-Abidin - majestic is his praise - he said: A group of people went, after al-Hasan, to al-Husayn and they said to him: "Do you have the wonders of your father which he used to show us?"
