So he said: "And what will you do with it while you are a Muslim?" So I said: "To show you its secret." He said: So he began to strike his bell and I recited to him what it says. He said: So he fell prostrating and submitted [embraced Islam] and said: "Indeed I have in the handwriting of Aaron, son of Amran (Harun bin Imran) with his [own] hand: 'Indeed Allah will send among the unlettered a messenger who has a vizier who knows what the bell says.'"
[270] And from the book "Al-Qatrah" and from it: Indeed Ali - majestic is his praise - said to Salman while he was an old, elderly man: "Who saved you from the lion?" He said: So when he heard that, he was alarmed and said: "Inform me how that was?" So Ali said: "Indeed you were standing in the middle of the water pleading [for help] from the lion. So at that, you raised your hand in supplication and asked Allah - Mighty and Majestic - to save you from it, so your supplication was answered. And I was at that time passing through the desert, so I am that knight whose shield was on his shoulder and the sword in his hand. So I drew the sword and struck the lion, splitting it into two halves, and saved you from it." So Salman said: "Indeed for that there is another sign."
