[258] And from the book "Al-Qatrah", from al-A'mash, he said: A black slave-girl came offering water to drink, and she was saying: "Drink, out of love for Ali bin Abi Talib," and she was blind. He said: Then I saw her in Mecca, seeing, offering water and saying: "Drink, out of love for the one by whom Allah restored my sight to me." So I said: "O slave-girl, I saw you in Medina blind, saying 'Drink out of love for my master Ali bin Abi Talib,' and today you are seeing, so what is your story?" She said: "May my father be a ransom for you,
indeed I saw a man who said to me: 'O slave-girl, are you a follower (mawlat) of Ali bin Abi Talib and a lover of his?' So I said: 'Yes.' So he said: 'O Allah, if she is truthful, then restore her sight to her.' So by Allah, Allah restored my sight to me. So I said: 'Who are you?' He said: 'I am al-Khidr, and I am from the Shia of Ali bin Abi Talib.'"
