Elucidation (Tabyin): Indeed, the Imamiyyah, as we previously mentioned, completely negate the seeing of the Creator, the impenetrable unseen, and here they are explicitly declaring that the Lord specified with being seen on the Day of Resurrection,
to whom the verse indicated by the Almighty's saying: ["[Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant, * Looking at their Lord"] 1 , they explicitly declare that he is the Commander of the Faithful, whose authority (wilayah) the Nawasib denied, [being] the Worshipped Lord by the Imamiyyah.
And in this speech is an affirmation of our rule from where its authors do not perceive [it], this rule which says that the Essence, meaning the light of the abstract divinity (al-lahut al-mujarrad), its seeing is impossible upon what it is, but it is not impossible by manifestation (tajalli), so the observer sees Him like himself, and from where He wills. The soundness of that is the saying of our Master which he cited here: "I am the worshipper, I am the worshipped" 2 .
So his saying "I am the worshipper" indicated what our Master used to display while he was exoteric in a visible form before the people of the exoteric (ahl al-zahir), of prayer and worship, with which they delusionally imagined that he is a created being showing his worship to a creator above him,
