How majestic is this speech and how clear it is for the expert scholar, and how close it is to his mind and how effective in his core, and how affirming it is of the visible form by which the Creator manifested and was recognized by its manifestation.
And from it: And as for His saying: ["But when his Lord manifested to the mountain, He made it crumble to dust, and Moses fell unconscious"] 1 , and manifestation (tajalli) is only from the attire of form and body, and the Worshipped Lord is not a body. So the intended meaning is [that] the light of his Lord manifested. And the first light is the light of Muhammad and Ali, which manifests from all directions. And Allah, the One, the True, manifests from all directions. So by the light of His attributes He manifested from things, and by the majesty of His essence He manifested from directions. And to Him is the indication by his saying: "I am the speaker to Moses from the tree; indeed, O Moses, I am that light."
Notice (Tanbih): Indeed the light of Muhammad is from the light of Ali, which manifests from all directions.
