So by the One in whose hand is my soul, you do not ask me about a thing between you and the Hour, nor about a faction that guides a hundred and misguides a hundred, except that I inform you of its crier, its leader, and its driver, the resting place of its mounts, the unloading place of its saddles, and who will be killed from its people by killing, and die by death. And by Allah, if I willed to inform every man among you of his exit and his entrance and his entire affair, I would have done [so]. But I fear that you would disbelieve in me [in relation] to the Messenger of Allah - exalted is his might - and indeed I impart it to the elite of those who believe that from him," so the speech happened.
And in his saying "Ask me about what will be until the Day of Resurrection, and about what was before me and in my time... etc.", is a radiant evidence of his knowledge of what happened and happens in the three times: the past, the present, and the future. And this is for no one except Allah. And his saying "and about what was before me" means about what happened before his manifestation in the form of Ali, not about what happened before his existence. For he is existent in every place and time without beginning and without end.
