Footnotes

1Our Master the Commander of the Faithful - exalted is his might - said: "I am the caller to them 'Am I not your Lord?' by a sustaining command that has not ceased." Source: Mashariq Anwar al-Yaqin. The command is his command, no other, but if he had said it without adding "by a command", the Shia would not have accepted this narration. But the Master - majestic is his praise - made his speech only for the aspirant and the seekers of the truth. And Al-Qunduzi mentioned in his book Yanabi al-Mawaddah, our Master the Commander of the Faithful - majestic is his praise - the Highest said: "And indeed I am the sustainer over every caretaker."
