And the saying of our Master: "And the heavens and the earth with the Imam are like his hand from his finger; he knows their exoteric from their esoteric... etc.", establishes that he is Allah, by the evidence of the Almighty's saying: ["And they did not appraise Allah with the true appraisal of Him, while the earth entirely will be [within] His grip on the Day of Resurrection, and the heavens will be folded in His right hand. Exalted is He and high above what they associate with Him."] 1
[227] And from it: What was narrated from the Commander of the Faithful (exalted is his might), that he said to Kumayl bin Ziyad, and he had passed with him in a cemetery, so he hurried to him, and he said to him: "Lighten the tread, O Kumayl, for indeed they hear the squeaking of your sandals. And the knowledge of the Imam concerning them is not conjecture, nor blind following (taqlid), but rather a knowledge of encompassing and verification. For the knowledge of Allah is encompassing of the known things, and their knowledge is penetrating in the layers of the earth and the heavens, because the heavens and the earth and what is in them are the treasury of Allah; He created them for their sake and handed them over to them, so with them are the keys of their knowledge and their unseen."
Clarification (Idah): From the saying of our Master - exalted is his might - : "And the knowledge of the Imam concerning them is not conjecture nor blind following, but rather it is a knowledge of encompassing and verification," it becomes clear to us that what he used to speak of, from the knowledge of the hidden things and their like, was not by teaching from Muhammad or other than him,
