Then I move on to say: has there not been found in every era of the past eras some of the unique, outstanding figures of scholarship who carried valuable thoughts and realistic realities that the vast majority did not see, some of them hiding them out of fear for themselves from the persecution of the society toward them? Until if one of them gathered the courage and declared his thoughts openly and manifested his realities, he became exposed to the vengeance of the masters of interests and positions, and his matter ended up in the worst of states. Take as an example “Socrates” and “Galileo,” and this second one was cast into prison, and the whip and torture accompanied his body for the mere fact that he said the Earth is spherical and rotates around itself; and these seven youths, the Companions of the Cave, were pursued because of their saying and their belief that worship is not permissible except for the One.

And the Creator mentioned their matter regarding that on the tongues of some of them to others by His saying—Majestic is His praise—: [“Indeed, if they come to know of you, they will stone you or return you to their religion, and never will you succeed, then, ever.”] ¹ .
