What is the meaning of this speech, and what is intended by it, and is it permissible to say that our Master claimed it randomly and in vain? God forbid. Indeed it contains the most majestic and most precise meaning, indicating from a hidden aspect to the knowing guardian (wali) that the speaker of this saying is the High Deity. For the author of the book has spoken in the explanation of these phrases, and after a speech he said: "I am the essence of the essences, and the essence in the essences is for the essence." He explicitly declared it by manifesting the hidden secret and the word conjoined by the two ends of "Be, and it is" (Kun fa-yakun). And that is because he is the Greatest Name of Allah and the reality of every being, and that he is the essence of every existent, because he is His secret, His word, His command, and His guardian over everything. And that is a matter which Allah singled him out with, because he is He.
