And the knowledge of the prophets is in their knowledge, and the secret of the legatees is in their secret, and the might of the guardians is in their might, like the drop in the sea, and the atom in the wasteland. And the heavens and the earth with the Imam are like his hand from his finger; he sees their exoteric from their esoteric, and he knows their righteous from their wicked, and their moist from their dry."

[221] And from it: The Commander of the Faithful said: "I am the knowledge of Allah, and I am the retaining heart of Allah, and His speaking tongue, and I am the eye of Allah, and His side, and the hand of Allah."

Clarification (Tawdih): The knowledge of Allah is not other than Him, and the eye of Allah is not other than Him, for the eye (essence) of a thing is its essence. And it has been reported from some of the scholars in the speech concerning the Creator, he said: "Power entirely, knowledge entirely, hearing entirely."

[222] And from it: He (exalted is his might) said: "By Allah, the Messenger of Allah has indeed left me as a successor in his nation, so I am the proof of Allah over them after His Prophet.
