[217] And from it: Our Master (exalted is his might) said: "I am the speaker to Moses from the tree, I am that light." It matches His saying, the Almighty, in Surah Al-Qasas: ["But when he came to it, he was called from the right side of the valley in a blessed spot from the tree, 'O Moses, indeed I am Allah, Lord of the worlds.'"] 1

[218] And from it: Salman entered upon the Commander of the Faithful (exalted is his might) and asked him about himself. So he said: "O Salman, I am the one who called the nations to my obedience, but they disbelieved, so they were punished in the Fire, and I am its keeper over them. I say, O Salman, no one recognizes me with the true recognition of me except that he was with me in the Highest Assembly (al-Mala' al-A'la)."

[219] And from it: That the Commander of the Faithful, when he was born in the Sacred House, fell prostrating and raised his noble head, then he called the adhan and the iqamah, meaning he recited the adhan and the iqamah, and testified for Allah to oneness, and for Muhammad to the message, and for himself to the succession (khilafah) and the allegiance (wilayah). Then he pointed to the Messenger (exalted is his might), and said: "Read, O Messenger of Allah." So he said: "Yes." So he began with the scrolls of Adam and read them, such that even if Seth were present, he would have acknowledged that he is more knowing of them than him. Then he recited the scrolls of Noah, and the scrolls of Abraham, and the Torah, and the Gospel.
