[213] And from it: "I was given the knowledge of the deaths and the calamities and the decisive speech, and I was entrusted with the knowledge of the Quran and what is to come until the Day of Resurrection."

[214] And from it: He (exalted is his might) said: "O Salman and O Jundab, I give life and cause death by the permission of my Lord, and I inform you of what you eat and what you store by the permission of my Lord, and I am knowing of your inner thoughts and your hearts."

Note and Clarification: The saying of our Master (exalted is his might), "by the permission of my Lord" (bi-idhni rabbi), is of the category of incapacity in the exoteric (al-zahir) and dissimulation (tawriyah) over those blind of insight. And similar to it is his saying, "Allah inspired me with the knowledge of what is in it," and the like of that, since He, the Almighty, manifested incapacity in the verbal aspect through the like of this saying, just as He manifested upon Himself in the practical, realistic aspect according to the vision of the onlookers, from birth, eating, drinking, death, and their like, while He is too majestic for all of that.
