Elucidation (Bayan): What is recorded in the saying of the Messenger (exalted is his might) that our Master is the secret and the veil, and that the veil is a divine light and its attachment to this body is incidental, proves the soundness of what I mentioned regarding the verse:
["And it is not for any human being that Allah should speak to him except by revelation or from behind a partition [veil] or that He sends a messenger to reveal, by His permission, what He wills. Indeed, He is Most High and Wise."] 1
And from the book Mashariq Anwar al-Yaqin by Al-Hafiz Rajab al-Bursi, on the authority of Abu 'Abd Allah (exalted is his might), from the Commander of the Faithful, who said: The Messenger of Allah (exalted is his might) said: "O Ali, indeed Allah has granted you the love of the poor and the oppressed in the earth, so you were pleased with them as brothers, and they were pleased with you as an Imam. So blessed is the one who loves you, and woe to the one who hates you. O Ali, the people of your love are every frequently returning, guarding [servant], and everyone possessing two worn-out garments who, if he were to swear by Allah, He would fulfill his oath. O Ali, your beloveds are everyone despised among the creation, [yet] great with the Truth [Allah]."
