And its embodiment (misdaq) is the saying of the Creator concerning His essence: ["He is the First and the Last, the Ascendant [Manifest] and the Intimate [Hidden], and He is, of all things, Knowing."] 1
[180] And from it: The Messenger of Allah (exalted is his might) said: "Whoever it pleases to pass over the Path (al-Sirat) like a violent wind and enter Paradise without account, let him pledge allegiance to my guardian (wali), my companion, and my successor over my family and my nation, Ali bin Abi Talib. And whoever it pleases to enter the Fire, let him abandon his allegiance (wilayah). For by the might of my Lord and His majesty, he is the gate of Allah through which alone He is approached, and he is the straight path, and he is the one about whose allegiance Allah will ask on the Day of Resurrection." The Almighty said: ["There the authority [allegiance] is [completely] for Allah, the Truth. He is best in reward and best in outcome,"] 2 and "there" means during the Resurrection.
