[163] And from it: Muwaffaq bin Ahmad transmitted on the authority of Mujahid, from Ibn 'Abbas, who said: The Messenger of Allah (exalted be his might) said: "If the trees were pens, the seas were ink, the jinn were reckoners, and mankind were writers, they would not be able to enumerate the virtues of Ali bin Abi Talib."
This Prophetic saying is corroborated by the Divine utterance: ["And if whatever trees upon the earth were pens and the sea [was ink], replenished thereafter by seven [more] seas, the words of Allah would not be exhausted. Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise."] 1

"Indeed, Allah has appointed for my brother Ali innumerable virtues. So whoever mentions a virtue from his virtues, acknowledging it, Allah will forgive him his past and future sins.
