[ "That is because Allah is the protector [master] of those who have believed and because the disbelievers have no protector."] 1
[156] And from it: And in Al-Manaqib, on the authority of Jabir bin 'Abd Allah (peace be upon him), he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (exalted be his might) say: "Indeed, there are traits in Ali, such that if but one of them were in a man, it would suffice him in virtue and honor:
His saying (exalted be his might): 'Whoever I am his master, then Ali is his master.'
And his saying: 'Ali is to me as Aaron was to Moses.'
And his saying: 'Ali is from me, and I am from him.'
And his saying: 'Ali is to me as my own soul; obedience to him is obedience to me, and disobedience to him is disobedience to me.'
And his saying: 'War against Ali is war against Allah, and peace with Ali is peace with Allah.'
