like Al-Shafi'i, who said:
I see concerning the virtue of our Master Ali,
Facets of doubt whether he is Allah.
Al-Shafi'i dies, and yet he does not know,
Whether Ali is his Lord, or his Lord is Allah.
And in the same Surah, at its conclusion: [“Indeed, We have warned you of a near punishment on the Day when a man will observe what his hands have put forth and the disbeliever will say, 'Oh, I wish that I were dust!'”] 1
Meaning, the stubborn denier (al-jahid al-mu'anid) will say at that time: "Oh, I wish I had been among the followers and worshippers of 'Abu Turab' so that I might be among the companions of the right." Our Master (exalted be his might) was titled Abu Turab, a title bestowed upon him by the Master Messenger.
