To him is the allusion in the saying of the Exalted in Surah Ghafir: [“And Joseph had already come to you before with clear proofs, but you remained in doubt of that which he brought to you, until when he died, you said, 'Never will Allah send a messenger after him.'”] ¹ The phrase "before" (min qabl) indicates his manifestation in the Dome of the Jann—that is, before this dome of our Adam—and Allah sent many messengers after him.
