Indeed, our Master—Exalted is His might—is the Knower of the Unseen, and he has spoken of it and declared it, and how often he said:
"Ask me and I shall inform you," "Ask me about the paths of heaven," [and] "If I wished, I would have informed you of what has been and what will be until the establishment of the Hour." So much so that there were authors who composed a book on the states of the Commander of the Faithful and named it Saluni Qabla An Tafqiduni (Ask Me Before You Lose Me), and I shall mention some of it, if Allah wills.
The Second Verse: [“And intercession does not benefit with Him except for one whom He permits. [And those wait] until, when terror is removed from their hearts, they will say, ‘What has your Lord said?’ They will say, ‘The truth.’ And He is the Most High, the Grand.”] 1
This is an allusion to the time when the physical sight and inner vision of the disbelievers are unveiled on the Day of the Eighth Manifestation, the Cycle of Unveiling, and the establishment of the Approaching Hour [al-Azifah]. At that time, they will ask one another, inquiring and reproaching: “What did Allah say?”
