As for the sending down of rain, it was reported in the book 'Uyun al-Mu'jizat with this text: “Rain had been withheld from Kufa for five years, so the people of Kufa said: ‘Pray for rain for us, O Commander of the Faithful.’ He gestured with his hand toward the sky, the atmosphere rumbled and thundered, clouds gathered, and the rain poured down.”
