Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.”] 1 The discussion regarding this has already preceded at the verse: [“Say, 'If the sea were ink for [the words of] my Lord, the sea would be exhausted before the words of my Lord were exhausted, even if We brought the like of it as a supplement.'”] 2 And it is necessary for me to cite a hadith:
[89] It is reported in the book Irshad al-Qulub from the Messenger—Exalted is His might—and the Messenger of Allah—Exalted is His might—said: “If the forests were pens, the sea were ink, the jinn were accountants, and the humans were scribes, they would not be able to count the virtues of the Commander of the Faithful, Ali bin Abi Talib.”
The Third Verse: [“Indeed, Allah [alone] has knowledge of the Hour and sends down the rain and knows what is in the wombs. And no soul perceives what it will earn tomorrow, and no soul perceives in what land it will die. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted.”] 3
