The ones saying this are the disbelievers. They swear on the Day of Resurrection—the day they are seized with the severest punishment—that they were in manifest error because of their equating between their leaders,
the imams of polytheism (a'immat al-shirk), and our master the Commander of the Faithful.
❖ From Surah An-Naml ❖
The Verse: [“Said one who had knowledge from the Scripture, 'I will bring it to you before your glance returns to you.' And when [Solomon] saw it placed before him, he said, 'This is from the favor of my Lord to test me whether I will be grateful or ungrateful. And whoever is grateful - his gratitude is only for [the benefit of] himself. And whoever is ungrateful - then indeed, my Lord is Free of need and Generous.'”] 1
At this noble verse, pause, my dear reader, and reflect carefully so that the truth may become clearly and evidently visible to you from within its folds. Indeed, this verse alone suffices you from seeking evidence from another source, provided you are a believer in the words of Allah in His mighty Book, and possess true fairness and sound impartiality, casting aside obstinacy and sterile debate.
