“They were deviators (qasitayn) and diverters ('adilayn); they collaborated against the Truth (al-Haqq),” etc. And when asked about the meaning of that, he interpreted the two words qasitayn and 'adilayn with the meaning of oppression and polytheism. The Exalted said in Surah Al-Jinn: “And as for the deviators (al-qasitun), they will be firewood for Hell.” And He, Glory be to Him, said in Surah An-Nahl regarding the disbelievers: “But they are a people who equate [others with Him] (ya'dilun),” meaning they associate partners [with Him]. And the meaning of “they collaborated against the Truth” is that they cooperated in the enmity and opposition to the Commander of the Faithful, who is the Truth (al-Haqq).

[80] And it was reported from Abu Dharr in several narrations that he addressed the Commander of the Faithful on the day he parted from him, on the occasion of his banishment by the third [caliph] to Al-Rabadha, or upon another occasion, addressing him with his saying: "You have left me, O Truth, and I have no friend."
