[78] From the book Yanabi' al-Mawaddah, Muwaffaq bin Ahmad extracted with his chain of transmission from Mujahid, from Ibn Abbas, who said: The Messenger of Allah—Exalted is His might—said: “If the trees were pens, the seas were ink, the jinn were reckoners, and mankind were writers, they would not be able to enumerate the virtues of Ali bin Abi Talib.”
And poetic verses with this meaning were transmitted from one of the poets, and it was said he is Abu al-'Ala', which I will present in the chapter dedicated to the words of the scholars and poets regarding the Commander of the Faithful.
❖ From Surah Maryam ❖
The Verse: [“It is not [befitting] for Allah to take a son; exalted is He! When He decrees an affair, He only says to it, 'Be,' and it is.”] 1
The discussion around it will appear when we speak about the miracle of our master Asif in bringing the throne.
❖ From Surah Taha ❖
The Verse: [“When he saw a fire and said to his family, 'Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire; perhaps I can bring you a torch from it or find guidance at the fire.'”] 2
