Indeed, the people of misguidance denied the sound principles we adhere to and the belief in the divinity (uluhiyyah) of our master, the Commander of the Faithful—His might was mighty—since they could not digest that from them, and their minds could not bear this difficult, highly intricate matter (al-sa'b al-mustas'ab). The reader must refer to the account which I included in the second chapter of this treatise, quoting from the book Al-Kawkab al-Durri, as well as the poetic verses of our master Zayn al-Abidin—His might was mighty—that are explicitly clear in the aforementioned chapter, so that the meaning of the verse becomes completely clear to him.
❖ From Surah Hud ❖
The First Verse: [“Indeed, I have relied upon Allah, my Lord and your Lord. There is no creature but that He holds its forelock. Indeed, my Lord is on a path that is straight.”] 1
The meaning of the straight path is the clear, even road. And which being in existence, including the prophets and messengers, has reached the summit that our master—His might was mighty—occupied with regard to walking upon the path of justice, working to establish the truth, and consolidating the foundations of guidance and perfection?
[71] And it is stated in the book Al-Qatrah that our master said: “O people, follow me, and I will guide you to the even path.”
