And the mention of this will come in the chapter dedicated to his words—exalted is his praise.
The Second Verse: [“Say, 'Is there of your "partners" anyone who guides to the truth?' Say, 'Allah guides to the truth. So is He who guides to the truth more worthy to be followed or he who guides not unless he is guided? Then what is [wrong] with you - how do you judge?'”] 1
The "partners" of the disbelievers are the criminal leaders of misguidance. In the verse is a command from the Creator to His Messenger to ask the followers whether any of these partners guides to the truth. It is axiomatic that the misguided does not guide except to that which characterizes him. As for the one who directs to the truth, it is the True Imam who, on all occasions and at all times, called to guidance in both word and deed.
[68] The Messenger—His might was mighty—said: “I am the warner, and Ali is the guide.”
