The Conclusive and Powerful Argument In Proving the Manifestation of the Originator in a Visible Form - Sheikh Kamil Hatim

So if there is a meeting according to the text of the Mighty Book in this verse and others which I have previously mentioned, then in what form does the Creator manifest Himself to those whom He meets? If we say it is through the light of divinity (nur al-lahut), our statement is invalidated and incorrect on the basis that the light of divinity cannot be confronted, nor can one stand firm before the intensity of its radiance,

as evidenced by what happened to the Master Moses—His might was mighty—when he said: [“My Lord, show me [Yourself] that I may look at You.”]1

And if we say it is in another form other than the human one, this statement of ours would land in error, since the human form is the best of natural forms, and His manifestation in anything else among these forms is impossible because they are neither rational nor perceptive. Through His appearance in our form, we understand Him and find familiarity in Him, as we have previously mentioned in a past chapter. It is stated in the dictionary: “He met the man (laqa liqa'an wa mulaqatan al-rajula): he encountered him and faced him.”

[The Second Verse: “Say, ‘I do not tell you that I have the depositories of Allah or that I know the unseen, nor do I tell you that I am an angel.’”] 2
