Indeed, the pursuer of realities deduces from the course of his reading across various Sunni and Shi'a books that our master the Commander of the Faithful used to know what was passing through the minds of individuals

and what was hidden of their states, as well as what would occur of matters and events, and he frequently exposed them when necessary.

He explicitly declared this in many of his sermons contained within their books with his saying: “Ask me about the paths of heaven, for I am more knowledgeable of them than the paths of the earth,” or “knowledgeable of them like the paths of the earth.”
