Abu Ja'far Maytham said: Thereupon, a young boy whose features were more beautiful than the sun and the moon stood up and said: “At your service (labbayk), O reviver of bones and Proof of Allah among mankind, the one solitary in grace and bounty! At your service, O Ali, O All-Knowing (‘Allam)!” Then the boy said: “O my master, I have no need for them; I fear they will kill me once again.”

The Imam turned to his companion and said: “Proceed to your family and inform them.” The boy said: “O my master, by Allah I shall not part from you; rather, I will remain with you until Allah brings my appointed time from Him.”

May Allah curse whoever sees the truth clearly yet places a veil between himself and the truth. The boy remained in the presence of the Commander of the Faithful until he was killed at Siffin.

Thereafter, the people of Kufa returned to Kufa and differed in their speech concerning him. The author of the book commented with his saying: “I say: though the reports of this section are transmitted without a chain of narration (marasīl bilā sanad), the occurrence of the likes of them from the likes of him is not far-fetched. Were it not for that, a group would not have gone to extremes (ghala) concerning him, claiming divinity for him until he burned them with fire, as previously mentioned.”

And their poet has said:

Indeed, the Creator of creation is the one

Who shook the pillars of Khaybar with a single pull.
