From the speech of the Master Abraham, we understand that the one who gives life, causes death, and returns the sun from its setting place is Allah (اللَّه)—Majestic is His praise. And if we cast a glance into the outwardly printed books, whether by way of the Sunnis or the Shi'a,
we see that our master the Commander of the Faithful—His might was mighty—gave life, caused death, and returned the sun from its setting place time and time again.
And here it is for the reader regarding bringing to life and causing death, as reported textually in the book Uyun al-Mu'jizat written by the Shi'a Scholar Hussein bin Abdul Wahhab: “And in the book Al-Anwar authored by Abu Ali al-Hasan bin Hammam:
[52] Al-Abbas bin al-Fadl narrated, saying: Musa bin Atiyyah al-Ansari narrated to me, saying: Hassan bin Ahmad al-Azraq narrated to us from Abu al-Ahwas, from his father, from Ammar al-Sabati, who said: The Commander of the Faithful—His might was mighty—arrived in Al-Mada'in, and with him was Dulaf bin Munajjim, the astronomer of Chosroes (Kisra). When it was time for the midday sun to decline, he said to Dulaf: ‘Stand and come with me.’ A group of the people of Sabat were also with him. He continued to walk around the dwellings of Chosroes, saying to Dulaf: ‘Chosroes had such and such in this specific place,’ and Dulaf would reply: ‘By Allah, it is exactly so.’
