❖ On Proving His Manifestation, the Exalted, in a Visible Form by Way of Reason and Tradition ❖
We have previously stated that the Primary Cause in existence—meaning the Maker, Glory be to Him—within His necessary existence, does not escape, with respect to His vision, from either being capable of displaying His Essence to His creation or incapable. The second is impossible, because maintaining it is an attribution of incapacity to the Creator, and incapacity is a deficiency, and deficiency is an attribute of the creature, whereas the Creator is described with absolute perfection. And if He is capable, and capability is among His attributes, it becomes necessary to maintain either that He manifests to His creation, or that He refrains from it despite His capability. The second—meaning transcending above manifestation despite the capability for it—is also impossible, because within the first, meaning manifestation, is the fulfillment of wisdom and the best of well-being, and the Creator, the Exalted, is All-Knowing and Wise, whose actions issue only from knowledge and wisdom, and He acts only for good and well-being.
