the believer was already spared four, and he is not vacant of four, and he was given four, and he is recognized by four; as for the four which he was spared: for the believer does not humiliate his soul, and does not ask with his palm, and is not harmed in his essence, and is not born from an adulteress; and as for the four from which he is not vacant: for an immoral one who harms him, and a devil who misleads him, and a ruler who terrifies him, and a brother who envies him, and he is the harshest of them; and as for the four which he was given: for the Gnosis, and the intellect, and the knowledge, and the prestige in the chests of the ignorant; and as for the four by which he is recognized: for the Gnosis is his religion, and the knowledge is his honor, and the faith is his deed, and the Monotheism is his core."
