So he said to him: O my son, if I found a true, Gnosis-knowing, sincere, jurisprudent believer whose saying matches his deed and his outwardness matches his inwardness, then I have already found God. So I said: O my master, found God?! He said: Yes, and if I were in doubt of that, then I have already found the path to God 1 .

And this is the purpose of that; and from that is what Sulayman bin Ja'far al-Ja'fari narrated on the authority of our master al-Rida, transcended his might, that he said: "Indeed, God, the Exalted, created the soul of the believer from the light of His veil, and created his structure from the clay of His mercy, so his father is the light and his mother is the mercy, so fear the intuition of the believer, for he looks with the light of God from which he was created."

And from what Abu Ali al-Basri narrated in the Book of the Seventy regarding the connection of the believer to the Wali, and the Wali to God, the Exalted.

Footnotes

1And in the original, this report is a report narrated on the authority of the masters, transcended their might, on the authority of the master al-Sadiq, transcended his might, that he said to one of his companions: "When you found your believing brother, you found God." So the narrator said: "God?!" while he was astonished. So when the master, transcended his might, saw that this was too heavy for him, he said to him: "You found the path to God."
